Okay, first off, the comic. *giggles* Last
year I was off at college and more or less friendless. No friends at
all, and no one really wanted to talk to me. Then one day in an Art
History class a girl sat down a few seats away from me... halfway through
the class I became aware of the fact that she was doodling on her notebook.
I immediately began to draw as well, hoping to attract attention and
maybe start a conversation. It worked. ^_^ I sat down the
next class and started drawing immediately, and she soon asked to see my
sketchbook... she eventually asked for a present/drawing, I gave one, etc.
Soon friends. *giggles* Anyhow, the girl's name was Megan
and over time the contrasts between her personality and mine began to amuse
us. She was much more flamboyant and enjoyed the spotlight... I generally
prefer to stay in the background until the right moment, take my applause
and then step back.
Thus, as we doodled in each others notebooks during class her doodle version
of herself became very princess-like... and I became, well, fairly servant-like.
Before long it was "Mistress Megu-chan" and "Slave Boy". *nods
and laughs* Yep, yep. Course, perhaps that's why the relationship
got a bit one-sided after a while, but no matter. We're over that.
I think. *laughs*
Anyhow, I recently learned that she will also be at Fanime, so we'll get
to see each other. And I can hide. *giggles* Just like
in the comic, only not... but sorta kinda. ^_^ Hehehe... gotta
tease her a bit!
And then, on another note, this Wednesday is my birthday. April 30th.
I turn 21. I would really love any present/pictures or even just
little emails saying "Happy Birthday!" It's not like I make a big deal
out of birthdays or anything (Last year it went uncelebrated, really. And before that I took a few friends out for dinner. Paid for it myself.), but it's just a thought. *smiles* Anyhow, hope you enjoy the comic!
PS
The other character in the comic is my friend Sara, who will be going to
Fanime with me. We're playing "Yu-Gi-Oh!", as we often do. And
yes, I kick ass. ^_^
