This came up after my
girlfriend and I went to see "War of the Worlds" about a week
ago. I was amazed at how the thing that freaked her out the most
was the way many of the humans reacted, not so much anything the aliens
did. Van/mob scene in particular. *shrugs* And that
was what got me thinking about how that really was a fairly realistic
take on how people would react and everything... what with how everyone
went to the city when that should be the place the aliens were first
attacking (Not that they were, after
all, this is Soft-Sci and the aliens don't follow logic.). Anyhow... the
top led to how I always feel that Soft-Sci if fine so long as there's
something that keeps me highly entertained and thus uncaring about the
fact that nothing makes any sense. Not much in that movie does
that... so she suggested that Angsty-Teen-Boy fire death lazers.
Thus we have Angst-Beam! and all of that. ^_^ Just had to
share it with the world!
