You know what's a little
odd? I the next two
months there are three things happening for me... My roommate has a
birthday, I have a birthday, and I get to go to FanimeCon. Oddly
enough I don't seem to give a flying butt bisquit about me turning
22.
It means nothing to me.
It's funny how some people love birthdays so much and others just don't
care, ne?
I also happened to remember a thing about me back when I first got on
to the Internet. I used to spend all this time in this chat
program
called "Palace". Basically it was just a chat program with
visuals;
you could create your own avatar and place it in different rooms and
stuff. It was actually a pretty good idea. Anyhow, I
remembered how
one of the servers that I hung out at a lot with one of my friends was
actually hosted by this college over on the East Coast. It was
called
"The Campus", and the big catch was that a local rock radio station
always had a DJ on a computer chatting at The Campus. So, anyhow,
here
we were, these two regulars in this chat room always talking with these
DJs. My friend being the more "hip" one, me being the guy who
loved
playing with the programs scripts so that I could have lazer beam
battles with other people, or set up another avatar for my friend and
make it appear like it was talking even though we were only logged on
via one computer. There was even a Real Audio feed of the radio
station... and I can remember numerous times when the DJs would send
out regards to their "homeboys"... namely the two of us.
The amusing
things is that we were all of... like what...? 12, I think.
*laughs*
I was so much more... hmmm... social as a child. *smirks*
