The concept to remember
here is that people accept the magic because they want it to exist...
but they have preset notions of what can be real and what can't be real
and thus need to be convinced that something is not odd in order for it
to exist. Thus a hotel can turn into a castle in the sky, but to
them it's just the hotel and there's nothing overly magical to them
that they're aware of... though they are filled with awe, but they just
don't know quite why. *chuckles*
Obviously, though, Mr. Giant-Prince-Tennis-Head is a little too extreme
for the given situation... and panic ensues. Remember, though,
that these people still aren't sure why they're panicing... and that's
a large part of why there is panic. Imagine if you're seeing
something distressful and yet can't conciously acknowledge what is
distressful... that could easily lead to panic, ne?
Bah... I shouldn't have to explain this... horrible horrible
writer/scripter/artist....
Next comic has me beginning to break free. It's time to see an
Altar. ^_^
