This was originally just going to be a simple
little part of the fight scene leading up to something that happens in
a few pages... but I felt that just leaving it as it was would be
boring. And I really hate putting in sound effects and
whatnot. So I made a joke. And I liked it. A lot.
It's like riding a bike with training wheels: Sure, all the kids
on the block who see you will laugh, but damn if it still isn't fun to
actually be half doing it right for once. I also had a lot of fun
drawing Earnest and just being free with it. I'm always picky
about anatomy; mostly in that I always mess it up and am too lazy to
fix it, but it is just so much fun to go with shapes that flow
out. Perhaps life would be very different... perhaps more
exciting, perhaps more fun... if we could break ourselves out of our
"lines" more often. *chuckles and shrugs*
Who knows. I'm just the guy making lame-ass fighting game jokes.
